Kim Finnicum - Candidate for SBDM Council Parent Representative

My name is Kim Finnicum and I am interested in serving on the NOMS SBDM Council. I am currently a stay at home mom but prior to moving to Kentucky 6 years ago I was a Retail Executive in Charlotte, N.C. and have a Bachelor of Science degree.

We have lived in Oldham County for 6 years and I have a rising 6th grader who is currently at Goshen Elementary and a rising 9th grader who will be going to NOHS. For the past 3 years I have been on the NOMS PTSA Executive Board serving as the Secretary and have also spent time volunteering at NOMS and at Goshen. I find it very rewarding to be a volunteer in our schools to help support our children’s educations. I am interested in being a parent representative on the NOMS SBDM Council because I really enjoy volunteering at NOMS and I am familiar with the school and philosophy at NOMS. I would be open minded to issues that come up but also would be decisive when addressing issues or determining new policies to continue to make NOMS the most well rounded highest achieving middle school in Oldham County. I would appreciate your support when making your choice for the NOMS SBDM representative.

PTSA Student Membership Parties Huge Success

It's a party - a STUDENT PTSA membership party - that is.

All the students at NOMS that are members of the PTSA were invited to attend the "Membership Appreciation Party"

Each student received a free soda and BINGO card entering the cafeteria. We played 5 hands of BINGO per grade - allowing 5 winners per grade! Each winner received their choice of gift cards from either Dairy Queen or Tinseltown.

Special thanks to Denise Rohrbach, VP of Membership and all the volunteers for making the event so wonderful!

PTSA Student Membership Party

Dear Students,

The PTSA is hosting a special party just for it's STUDENT MEMBERS. On February 5, 6th and 7th graders will get to attend a special party just for PTSA members during their Friday afternoon class. 8th graders will attend the same celebration but on February 12. Students will enjoy a refreshing soda while playing BINGO.

It's not too late to become a member. If you are a student at NOMS and would like to attend the party, have your parents fill out the membership form and attach the $5 membership fee.

The $5 covers all costs associated with PTSA, and you have free admission to the party.

Don't miss out - Join today (if you haven't already).
